Southern Maine Steampunk Fest
Thank you.
For 11 years, the Southern Maine Steampunk Fest invited visitors of all ages to step into an alternate timeline, where Victorian steam power met modern imagination! This day-long celebration of all things steampunk explored the question: What if steam technology had powered our future? Held across the historic Brick Store Museum campus, the festival invited visitors to immerse themselves in a world of retro-futurism inspired by the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.

From 2015 to 2025, we hosted 11 Steampunk Fests and enjoyed every one of them. In 2025, it was a fun day, as always, but it was obvious that the event had lost its momentum. We have decided it’s time to let the Steampunk Fest, in its current form, go.
We remain deeply grateful to the volunteers, vendors, demonstrators, and participants who devoted so much passion to this event over the past decade.
While the Steampunk Fest is retired, we hope you will join us at a new program sometime soon. You can always look at what’s coming up on our Calendar!
