The Ham Radio Room at Museum’s historic campus harkens back to the site of Kennebunk’s first telegraph office: now the Museum’s Hardy Building. On December 28, 1854, the building received the town’s inaugural telegraph message, marking a new era of instant communication. Today, the Museum’s Ham Radio Club carries on that spirit of innovation, sharing the evolution of communication technology from the telegraph to ham radio and beyond.

Whether you’re curious about emergency communication, global radio networks, or the history of technology in Kennebunk, the Ham Radio Room offers an engaging experience for all. Stop in and say hello!

Watch this space for a schedule of regular Radio Room hours and always check our Calendar for special programs!
