The Brick Store Museum believes in igniting personal connections to our local history, art, and culture. This Spring, we invite you to join a long tradition of memorializing those who came before us through the power of light.
Every light represents a legacy, and shares a piece of history. Each light features a custom QR code. When scanned, it links directly to a dedicated page on the Museum’s website featuring the story and photo of your loved one, creating a permanent memorial to your loved one while bringing light to your world.
Crafted just in time for the garden season, these elegant lanterns feature a stunning butterfly and rose motif. These solar-powered lights cast beautiful shadow patterns across your garden at dusk.
You have two ways to display your MemoryLight:
In Your Personal Garden: Install the light in your own garden or walkway as a private place of reflection.
In Our Collective Garden: Share your light with the community in the Museum’s Dane Street Courtyard. Visitors can walk through this collective display, scanning codes to read the stories of our ancestors and neighbors. In October 2026, you can then pick up your light and take it with you.

About the Lantern:Roughly 7” tall and 4” wide. Integrated rechargeable battery stores solar energy by day; fixture lights up automatically at dusk and powers down at dawn—no manual switching needed.
