SUMMARY:Of Séances and Spirits - Supernatural Kennebunk
DESCRIPTION:Of Séances and Spirits: Supernatural Kennebunk \n++ \nClick HERE to reserve your tickets!\n++ \nAbout this brand-new event: \nThe Brick Store Museum’s historic Kimball House will set the stage for guests to embark on a mesmerizing journey into the realm of the supernatural to discover the story of Mina Crandon\, whose séances captivated early 20th century Boston. First-person historical interpreter Laura Rocklyn will portray Mina\, also known as the “Witch of Lime Street\,” in this entertaining and historically informed séance. Explore the lives of Harry Houdini\, the escape artist determined to debunk fraudulent mediums\, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle\, the mind behind Sherlock Holmes and a passionate believer in spiritualism. \nSurrounding the immersive Séance experience\, you will tour the Museum’s 19th century buildings to discover local connections to the great beyond in the Museum’s collections; and discover Victorian Kennebunk’s love of contacting “the other side.” Indulge in heavy appetizers\, learn your fate from a Tarot reader\, see how Kennebunk’s Upper Square hosted its share of seances\, and catch a reading of a local ghost story by actor Richard McGonagle. \nTickets include at-your-own-pace activities described above and a timed slot for your séance with Mina Crandon. This intimate experience will take you deeper into the rituals and beliefs that connected these extraordinary figures\, bringing the mysteries of the Victorian era to life. \nImportant: Your ticket gives you access to all the evening’s activities\, with a designated time for your séance. Don’t miss your chance to reserve your spot for an unforgettable journey into the unknown! \nPLEASE NOTE: The Museum is aware of an issue that purchasers are not consistently receiving their order confirmations via email. SUMMARY:All Souls' Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Brick Store Museum’s All Souls’ Walk began its annual Hallowmas season tradition 21 years ago this year\, with a guided walk through neighboring Hope Cemetery. Join us this year to revisit old friends and hear NEW tales from the past honoring their lives and stories.\n  \n\nThe All Souls’ Walk invites participants into Hope Cemetery & Woods\, led by a knowledgeable tour guide\, to “meet” the ghosts of Kennebunk’s past and learn about the lives of residents that came before us.\n\n  \nStories and experiences range from funny\, to sad\, to passionate\, to mystifying. Not too spooky\, it’s the perfect Halloween activity for the whole family. The tour lasts about 75 minutes\, and covers roughly a 1/2 mile through the cemetery.\n\n  \nPresented with our Mission Partners at: Maine Community Bank\n  \n\n\nThis tour SELLS OUT. For those wanting to ensure they are in a tour group with friends and family\, please purchase your tickets together. The Museum will not be able to “add” you to a sold-out tour (even if the rest of your party is already signed up). The maximum tour size is 20 people. Adding more attendees to any tour decreases the experience for everyone. Thank you for understanding. \nPlease Note: We are aware that ticket emails are not being received by many purchasers. As we work to resolve this\, please rest assured that if you do not receive an email confirmation of your purchase\, as long as your card has been charged for the purchase\, your name is on our list and you do not need to do anything further (except come to the event!).
