DESCRIPTION:April 16-22 is Wildfire Awareness Week in Maine. To learn how you can prevent wildfires in your community\, please join Maine’s Forest Rangers at a special event at the Museum on April 21 from 10am to 12pm. Smokey Bear will be there as well nineteen Smokey Bear paintings that are part of the Rudy Wendelin Collection at the National Archives\, now touring the State.\n\nStorytime with a Maine Forest Ranger will feature the story of Smokey the Bear\, alongside activities to take home. Free to attend!\n\nThe national poster exhibition will be on view in the Museum’s Patsy Bauman Gallery through May 14th.
