Stephen will be playing Joplin piano rags on his keyboard as well as a reading from his popular children’s book “King of Ragtime”. Stephen will show some current work and works in progress and host a Q&A.\n\nStephen’s work is currently featured in “The Great State of Illustration in Maine\,” curated by Illustration Institute\,  currently on exhibit at the Brick Store Museum until the end of February.\n\nThis is a FREE program including admission to the museum.

They will use recycled and everyday items to print along with the use of a roller and acrylic paints. SUMMARY:Paper Bowls Student Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This February vacation workshop is for students 7 – 12.  In this two-hour class\, children will learn how to make 3D projects with paper mache. They will be using decorative colored papers\, scraps of handmade paper and tissue papers to create a paper bowl\, which does not need to be painted at completion. SUMMARY:Paper Marbling Student Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This February Vacation workshop is for children 7-12.  Students will have the opportunity to make decorative papers for book covers\, bookmarks\, cards and other crafts. Students will learn to marble paper in the traditional manner\, by floating water-based paints onto a liquid surface and lifting these images .In addition\, students will create decorative papers employing “faux” marbling techniques\, using sponges\, and feathers with water based paints to create patterns. \nInstructor: Gayle Fitzpatrick \nIf class is cancelled because of snow it will be made up the following day at the same time.
