DESCRIPTION:The Museum’s Artist-in-Residence\, Beth Crowe\, will be delivering her final story in her storytelling & needle felting series\, The Tale of Two Brothers\, on Thursday\, September 29th at 6:30 pm. \nA father builds identical houses for his two sons—identical houses. It’s nice to be gifted a house but the wives both think their house should be the finest thus the competition begins. It’s 1840 and the Sears catalog is the Amazon of the decade. Anything you can imagine right at your fingertips! \nThe program will start at 6:30 pm with a storytelling session appropriate for adults. \nNo experience necessary! SUMMARY:Personal Art Journal Class
DESCRIPTION:The Personal Art Journal workshop offers senior residents the opportunity to become part of a creative community and learn new art skills/techniques. No art experience is necessary. Six weekly workshops will take place each Tuesday September 27 to November 1\, 2022. The classes run from 9:30 to noon at the Brick Store Museum Education Center in Kennebunk.  The Maine Commission of the Arts has awarded the Brick Store a Creative Aging Grant so the program is able to run at a low cost of $60 per participant ($50 for museum members) which includes materials. \n  \nThis class is SOLD OUT.  If you would like to be on our mailing list to learn of future classes\, please email Mary Delehanty\, Museum Educator\, at mdelehanty@brickstoremuseum.org.
