DESCRIPTION:It’s the Dirigo vs. Mudville! Come to Parsons Field in Kennebunk on July 1st to watch authentic 1860s base ball played with its original rules (No gloves! The ball can bounce!) and all the players are in historic wool uniforms. It’s not a day out at the 19th century ball park without food\, fun\, sweets and activities to enjoy with the whole family! \nGame kicks off at noon. \nThe Museum’s Dessert Bazaar will offer sweet treats from the community\, while also providing classic baseball food like hot dogs\, popcorn\, and more. \nActivities for the whole family (aside from the base ball game!) include kite-flying\, craft-making\, and more. \n  \nPlan your game day: \n* BRING lawn chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy! (Umbrellas are helpful against sun and rain!) \n* This event is RAIN OR SHINE unless the teams call for a postponement. DESCRIPTION:JJ Otero is an accomplished artist from New Mexico. He calls his rich blend of rock\, soul\, and blues “Native-Soul-Rock.” In 2013\, “Protected (Beauty All Around)\,” a song that is sung entirely in Navajo\, was named best Rock Song at the Native American Music Awards. In 2017\, JJ Otero received three New Mexico Music Awards nominations: Best Rock CD for the album “019910\,” Best World Beat song for “Me & The 99\,” and Best Native song for “Tó éí ííná át’é.”\n\nProducer and sound engineer Bill Palmer says\, “J. J.’s a rare bird. He has a really distinct\, original sound to him. He’s the poet laureate of the Native rock scene.”\n\nJJ will be in residence at Home & Away Gallery in Kennebunkport June 5-7\, exhibiting his amazing jewelry work. DESCRIPTION:Renowned Viennese fortepianist Daniel Adam Maltz brings to life the musical genius of Mozart and Haydn in the Museum’s first gallery! \nDaniel’s historically-informed performance style offers a rare and unique opportunity to experience the music of these great composers the way that they would have heard it during their own lifetimes. \nDaniel is in demand worldwide with 50 tour dates per year and hosts Classical Cake\, the podcast about Viennese classical music and culture. He specializes in Wiener Klassik (Viennese Classicism)\, especially the works of Haydn\, Mozart\, and Beethoven\, and performs on Viennese fortepianos typical of their time.
