DESCRIPTION:To our dearest volunteers\, \nThe Brick Store Museum has welcomed nearly 10\,000 visitors across our doorstep this year – to exhibitions\, classes\, workshops\, events\, and research. Your donation of time\, talent and skill makes all of this learning happen. \n  \nTo celebrate the holidays with the Museum team\, we invite you to join us for a light holiday lunch (soups & sandwiches) on Saturday\, December 13 at 11am – 1pm! Please bring a plate of cookies for dessert if you’d like to share. Not a requirement\, but fun for those who enjoy baking. \nWe’ll leave plenty of time to visit with volunteer team members and give a few exciting updates for what’s ahead in 2026. Bring your ideas\, suggestions and feedback as this is meant to be interactive and shared! \nTo RSVP\, please let us know that you’re coming by December 11 via the RSVP below. \nCheers! \nThe Brick Store Museum \nPS – Can’t make this one? DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Brick Store Museum to start your June ArtWalk! Paired with artists and activities this free evening (5pm – 7pm) is an artists’ opening for the “From Many\, One: Results of Revolution” exhibition. Come visit and speak with the artists displaying their work! \nAbout the ArtWalk: a Summer Block Party each month in the summer months for a night of live music\, local artists\, food trucks\, restaurant specials and interactive events. Let’s celebrate Downtown! SUMMARY:The Declaration of Independence on View
DESCRIPTION:Maine Historical Society stewards one of 26 surviving copies of the Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration printed in Philadelphia on July 4\, 1776\, and sent to the Colonies to announce American independence. This year\, the Declaration will travel across Maine to all 16 counties with great pomp and circumstance. The Brick Store Museum is incredibly proud to host the Declaration of Independence for York County. \nPlease visit during the Declaration’s three-day stop in Kennebunk to find activities\, programs\, our “Results of Revolution” exhibition\, and of course\, the Declaration on view. \nDeclaration Viewing Hours: \nThursday\, July 30: 10:00am – 8:00pm \nFriday\, July 31: 10:00am – 5:00pm\, with special 18th Century Dinner offered at 6pm! \nSaturday\, August 1: 10:00am – 4:00pm \nPlan ahead!\nVisitors are encouraged to reserve a timed-entry ticket via Maine Historical Society’s page HERE>>
