DESCRIPTION:Kennebunk native Steve Bull shares The Story of the Wilde-Stein Club and the Maine Gay Task Force\, exploring how a student movement at the University of Maine in the 1970s sparked conversation about LGBTQ+ rights across Maine. Joining him is Susie R. Bock\, Director of the Jean Byers Sampson Center for Diversity in Maine\, who will highlight Maine’s LGBTQ+ history and archives. This free event takes place Friday\, November 21\, 5:30–7:00 PM at the Brick Store Museum Auditorium; RSVP is encouraged. \n++ \nSpecial Note on Museum Programs: \nThis program is not a place for intolerance or personal statement-making.
