DESCRIPTION:Cape Porpoise Archaeological Alliance (CPAA) Winter Series Presents: Visual Anthropology & Archaeology  \nThe goal of this series is to elevate the discussion of local anthropology and archaeology to include current trends in the field that incorporate science and art. This series is created by the CPAA\, a professionally led initiative focused on the Archipelago of Cape Porpoise\, Maine. The partnership with the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust and the Brick Store Museum supports documentation and contextualizing the archaeology of the islands and intertidal zone threatened by global sea level rise. \n+ \nThis series will run in-person weekly on five Thursdays at 6PM starting February 23\, 2023\, at the Brick Store Museum’s Program Center\, 117 Main Street\, Kennebunk\, ME. \nParking is available on Main Street\, Dane Street and in the Town Hall parking lot. \n+ \nAdmission by donation is suggested to help support our speakers. Registration is optional and suggested. Students can produce field drawings from artifact models (materials provided).
