The Brick Store Museum is open year round. Tuesday - Friday, 10:00AM - 4:30PM Saturday, 10:00AM - 1:00PM Every Saturday is Family Day! Visit the Museum for only $10.00 per family! The Museum is closed on all national holidays and is typically closed the day after Thanksgiving and during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. DIRECTIONS & PARKING
We are located at 117 Main Street, Kennebunk, Maine 04043. From I-95/Maine Turnpike: Take Exit 25. Make a left and proceed East on Route 35 toward Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. At the junction of Route 35 and Route 1, the Museum is directly across the street from the traffic light. From Route 1: The Museum is on Route 1, approximately halfway between Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME. Route 1 is Main Street in Kennebunk. If traveling northbound, the Museum is on the right; if traveling southbound, the Museum is on the left. Free, curbside parking is available on Main Street, including several spots located directly in front of the Museum. Additional parking can be found on side streets surrounding the Museum, and in marked public lots off of Main Street, within easy walking distance of the Museum. |
TOURS
Historic District Walking Tours: Outdoor walking tours of Kennebunk's National Register Historic District, which feature examples of Colonial, Federal, Greek Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival homes, depart from the Museum seasonally (typically, May - October). The tour is $5.00 per person and free to Brick Store Museum members. Special group tours can be arranged. Please call for times and details at 207.985.4802. Tours last 60 - 90 minutes and cover less than a mile on sidewalks and flat terrain. Self-guided tours are also available. Simply stop in at the Museum to purchase the Windows on the Past guidebook for $15.95 + tax (locator map included), or just purchase the locator map for $4.95 + tax. Group Tours: Bus tours and special group tours are always welcome. Tours and field trips by schools, camps, and homeschoolers can be arranged by contacting the Museum in advance. ACCESSIBILITY
| The Brick Store Museum is partially handicapped accessible. The main entrance to the museum is equipped with a ramp. The four galleries on the first floor are fully accessible, as well as a public restroom. The upstairs gallery of our historic building is currently only accessible via a central staircase. |
