2016 Trustee Dinners



You’re invited to the 2016 Trustee Dinners

Trustee Dinners began two years ago in an effort to get to know old acquaintances and meet new friends. Our Trustees have once again volunteered to play host for the evening(s) to deliver delicious, home-cooked meals, lively discussion, and memorable encounters. 

All proceeds from the dinners go directly to helping the Museum present new exhibitions and educational programs; inspire life-long learning in our community; and allow us to be the neighborhood center for all.

Tickets: $60 per person, per dinner.

February 19

Mid-Winter Hearty Fare

A traditional winter celebration showing off 1950s artifacts from the Museum! Seven guests.

 Menu includes: surprise cocktail; Savory seafood and mushroom tart; Roast beef; Yorkshire pudding & winter vegetables; Heavenly pie (a reverse lemon meringue pie). Chris’ dog, Jada, will be present. 


March 19

Dr. Fisher’s Dinner

As a prelude to the Museum’s upcoming medical history exhibition, this evening will provide a “sneak peak” at artifacts and history. Eight guests.

Menu includes: the Dr.’s “pain killer” tonic; Carrot and Ginger Soup; Pork Medallions in Mushroom Marsala Sauce with red smashed potatoes; NY cheesecake.

Edith Barry’s Tour Around the World

Edith Barry opened the Museum 80 years ago; learn more about her life as an artist and traveler from Town Historian Steve Spofford and Director Cynthia Walker. Twelve guests.

Menu includes: Four courses from around the world, accompanied by Barry’s slide photographs from each country.

Cool History: Ice and Snow in the Kennebunks

Discover how the town of Kennebunk worked through 19th Century winters – and how they made a business of ice year-round! Six guests.

Menu includes: Mushroom pizzette; Mocha braised short ribs; Creamy baked parmesan polenta; Carrots with spicy olive-lemon oil; Green salad; Clementine cake with vanilla ice cream.

A beautiful summer evening filled with delights from

the ocean and garden, all under a roof that William Barry designed.

Menu includes: Treasures from the sea; bounty from Kennebunk’s farmer’s market;

seasonal fruit delights for dessert. Eight guests.
