Southern Maine Steampunk Fair

An indoor-outdoor day-long Steampunk Fair in Kennebunk.

What is “steampunk?”

Steampunk often features anachronistic technologies or “retro-futuristic” inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them. The era’s perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, invention and art all play into the visual culture of Steampunk. Technology may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.

Check out images from last year’s fair from New Clear Rain Photography!

At the Southern Maine Steampunk Fair, you will find crafters of Victorian-futuristic art and crafts; be entertained by wandering performers; visit with Queen Victoria; take part in Victorian lawn games; and discover much more.

Family-friendly costumes are encouraged and celebrated!

Items for sale by featured makers and crafters will range in price from $5.00 to $500.00. Need ideas for Steampunk dress and personal decoration? Check out our Pinterest for ideas!

This year’s Southern Maine Steampunk Fair will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 12:00pm – 6:00pm.

Tickets are available for purchase on this site, or in person on the day of the event.
