Florena by Carol Sevigny Expressions of the Heart

Expressions of the Heart was a seasonal exhibition of works by 41 artists from the region. Open from February 15 through April 1, 2005, the exhibition featured 47 pieces encompassing a wide range of media, including intaglio, encaustic, watercolor, oil, pastels, photography, and fiber. Several of the works were for sale by the individual artists; prices ranged from $50 to $4800.

Area artists represented in the exhibition were the following: Barbara Stevens Adams, E. F. Tina Ambrose, Todd Bezold, Deborah Bodwell, Diane Boyce, Elizabeth Bryson, Dee Smart Burdick, Randa Taylor Charland, Bonnie Collins, Richard Dabrowski, Ted Damon, Cheri Dennett, Patrick DeSantis, Jill Disque, Ken Eason, Gail Eckberg, Carl Frechette, Louise Frechette, David Funk, Nancy Cooper Funk, Cynthia Gilmore, Ruth Goldsmith, Pat Hardy, Joseph Havens, Jenne James, Norma Johnsen, Janet Ledoux, Ann Legg, Ann Livermore, Barbara Moon, Jean Noon, Kathy Ostrander, Suzanne Payne, Ellen Pelletier, Monica Russo, Carol Sevigny, Robin Swennes, Ann Marie Therrien, Michael Walek, Kathy Morrissey, and Linda Thorndike Williams.

A special grouping within the exhibition was entitled Self Expressions and featured 11 self portraits done by Kennebunk High School students as final projects for Katie Reagan's painting class: Leslie Blackman, Vanessa Blockland, Lindsay D’Ascanio, Alaina Ferretti, Lindsay Howland, Sarah Kearsley, Caley Ostrander, Stephanie Ryan, Elecia Simpson, Hannah Wertheim, and Kelsey Whitelaw.
