KENNEBUNK, MAINE – Well-known collector William “Bill” Johnson’s collection of antiques and 1776 Barnard Tavern will be auctioned off this July by John McInnis Auctioneers of Amesbury, Massachusetts. The Brick Store Museum has been invited by the auction house to host a special preview for those interested in seeing the collections prior to the auction event. The Auction Preview Party will take place Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
Tickets to the event will be sold on site on July 23rd, and sold at the Museum prior to that date. Tickets are $10.00 per person, and $5.00 for Museum members. Ticket includes access to a large tented display and first floor of Barnard’s Tavern, live music, and stationary appetizers. The proceeds of the preview event will go to the Brick Store Museum.
The eclectic mix of collections to be auctioned include mechanical toy banks, advertising signs from local businesses, and more.
