The Kennebunks A to Z

June 21, 2005 – December 29, 2005

The Kennebunks A to Z exhibition represented an alphabetical romp through regional history and the Museum’s permanent collections. Beginning with “A is for Abenaki” and continuing on through “Z is for Zion’s Hill,” visitors learned about the people, places, broad themes and events that have shaped the Kennebunks over the centuries. For long-time residents, we offered touchstones to the past, the proverbial trip down memory lane, and a fresh look at the familiar. For tourists, we provided an introduction to the region with the encouragement to explore beyond the walls of the Museum. Several of the artifacts in this show were on public display for the first time ever, and many others were on view for the first time in decades.
