Visual Storytelling: Celebrating Maine Illustrators

March 20, 2015 – September 27, 2015

Over fifteen book and comic illustrators from the State of Maine were featured in the Museum’s newest exhibit, Visual Storytelling: Celebrating Maine Illustrators. The show, which opened March 20, 2015, came together through these artists helping Museum staff find and contact illustrators to include.

The Brick Store Museum is incredibly proud to announce our complete list of illustrators showing their work in our galleries:

The show will be on display through September 27, 2015. An art station and chalkboard wall invite YOU to create an illustration of your own within the gallery. Each illustrator’s books are for sale in our Museum Store (online and at the museum), so you can take pieces in the exhibit home with you!

The Maine Arts Commission and Maine Humanities Council recently granted the Museum funds to create four illustrators workshops throughout the summer, which will invite participants of all ages to learning how to create an illustration from the illustrators themselves! These workshops will be listed on our Events Page as they become available.

The exhibition is supported by our Proud Business Partners the Captain Lord Mansion, the Captain Jefferds Inn, and Hurlbutt Designs.
