The History Showcase is a thematic display case offering changing mini-exhibitions throughout the year–an innovative way of highlighting special collections and/or recent acquisitions and ensuring that returning visitors are always seeing something unique!
Our first-ever History Showcase featured the world travels of the Museum’s illustrious founder, Edith Cleaves Barry (1884-1969). Through ephemera, photos and souvenirs, visitors could trace her journeys during the “Golden Age of Travel” to the Orient, the wilds of Africa, and the Egyptian pyramids.
This History Showcase was made possible by the following proud Business Partners: Captain Lord Mansion, Captain Jefferds Inn, and Cole Harrison Insurance.
