The Brick Store Museum's 3rd Annual
Antiques Appraisal Day
Kennebunk Town Hall, Kennebunk, Maine
Saturday, November 12, 2005
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Ever wondered what that family heirloom might be worth? Back by popular demand is The Brick Store Museum’s 3rd Annual Antiques Appraisal Day to be held at Kennebunk Town Hall on Saturday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

An assembled team of area auctioneers, antiques dealers and experts is offering its services to make verbal appraisals on just about anything that the general public can hand-carry into Town Hall. All proceeds from the appraisal day activities benefit The Brick Store Museum of Kennebunk.

Auctioneer Bruce Collins of Bucksport specializes in fine arts, paintings and prints. Martha Cox, a paintings conservator from Shapleigh, is providing advice and estimates on cleaning and restoring paintings. Cindy Hamilton, an antiques dealer in Kennebunk and owner of Americana Workshop, will be on hand to assess antiques and items of Americana. Douglas Harding of Wells will appraise rare books, maps and documents. Lee Horowitz is coming from Massachusetts and will be assigned a private room for appraising jewelry and collections of coins, currency and stamps. Auctioneer Hap Moore of York possesses wide-ranging expertise on a variety of objects, and John Rinaldi of Kennebunkport will be available throughout the day to appraise maritime antiques.

Appraisal costs are $10 per item, or three items for $25. Special appointments for appraising collections of coins, currency and stamps are available at the cost of $15 per 15 minutes. Museum volunteers will be offering coffee, snacks and lunch specials for sale at Town Hall.
