Bicentennial Quilt. Brick Store Museum Collection, 82.25.1.

This quilt was created in commemoration of the United States’ 200th anniversary in 1976.  The 30 squares depicting historical and iconic landmarks of the Kennebunks were designed and then hand- and machine-stitched by local women.

To see the design key and the names of the quilters, roll your mouse over each quilted square.
