There's a snowman's top hat filled to the brim with dog toys and treats from Scalawags Pet Boutique, a tool-laden wreath from Kennebunk ACE Hardware, a seafaring wreath from Saxony Imports--the list goes on!

But, hurry...tickets are going fast!

Concluding the season's Prelude activities in the Kennebunks is our 6th annual Holiday Tea on Sunday, December 13th from 3 to 5PM.  This year's venue is a true jewel and a Holiday Tea first:  the beautiful 1842 Greek Revival home on historic Summer Street that once belonged to Captain Nathaniel Lord Thompson (1811-1889), one of Kennebunk's most prominent ship builders.

Grandparents, parents and children are invited to enjoy tea and delicious treats from the Kitchen Chicks while learning a bit about tea, etiquette customs, and the history of this stately home. Advance reservations are required. For tickets, call the museum at 207.985.4802 or print and mail in the registration form from our website. Costs are $20/adult ($15/adult for museum members) and $7.50/child age 14 and under.  Children under age 4 are admitted free.  Guests will receive a confirmation card and directions to the home upon registration.

This year's event is made possible by H. M. Payson & Co. and the Virginia Hodgkins Somers Foundation.

 'Tis the Season,
An End-of-Year Tale by Museum Treasurer David N. Moravick

The Brick Store Museum is coming off a successful capital campaign which completed long overdue renovations and increased our endowment. However:

Twas the month before a new budget year and all through the Museum,
Attendance was good, and we were happy to see 'em!

Yet, the Finance Committee was all nestled but not snug in their chairs,
Concerned a balanced budget wouldn't be there!

 Did You Know...

Thank You Brick Store Museum People

...that the Brick Store Museum is "really, really, really, really, really, really awesome and cool"?  So says Abigail, a third-grader from Consolidated School who came to visit last month as part of field trips that brought nearly 200 schoolchildren to the Museum. Her enthusiasm was echoed by her classmates, as well as by teacher Mrs. Chadburn who wrote to tell us that our school program was "very thorough and interactive" and that her students "came back so excited! It is clear to me how much time all of you spend to make this trip so successful."
