We can all sense that the year is rapidly drawing to a close. Amidst all the hustle and bustle of the season, we hope you'll take a moment to remember the Museum. It may be with a much-appreciated charitable contribution to our 2007 Annual Fund or to our Connecting Generations Capital Campaign. Hopefully we'll see you at one of our two December events. Or perhaps you'll remember us when visiting relatives need an outing, and you'll stop in to catch an exhibition before it finishes its run. And maybe you'll find the perfect holiday gift for someone in our Museum Shop. However you do it, thank you for remembering the Museum!
From all of us at The Brick Store Museum, we wish you and yours a joyous holiday season.
Sincerely,
The Brick Store Museum | |

Trustee Spotlight...
"What the Brick Store Museum Means to Me"
by Chris Farr
I have been a trustee of the Brick Store Museum since 2004. During that time, my relationship with the museum has evolved and has become an important component of my life and my sense of "belonging" to the Kennebunks.
Like a lot of you, my connection to this area started as "summer folk" when I bought a weekend retreat in Kennebunkport. At the time, I was living in New York City and needed a sanctuary away from the city. My life was constant travel; my job had me on the road as much as 170 days a year. My little house in the 'port represented stability and a place to bring family and friends. I discovered the Brick Store Museum on rainy days and learned about my new town and its seafaring history.
